Proactive Care

Our high staff-to-resident ratio allows us to catch small changes in health before they become crises.

What Is a RCFE?

Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE) – often called “assisted living” – is a licensed facility that provides a bridge between independent living and a skilled nursing facility.

In California, these facilities  are designed for individuals 60 and older who need support with daily routines but want to live in a comfortable, non-clinical environment.

Because we are regulated by the California Department of Social Services (CDSS), you can trust that our home meets rigorous safety and care standards.

At Hearts of Paradise Home, we believe this model is the gold standard for dignity, allowing your loved one to be treated as a cherished family member, not just a patient.

The Boutique Advantage

Beyond the diagnosis, we see the person. We deliver personalized care that prioritizes independence and honors the comfort of every resident.

By staying small and attentive, we ensure:

  • Routines Are Respected:
We adapt our schedule to match your loved one’s lifelong habits, not a corporate timetable.
  • Preferences Are Prioritized:
From favorite meals to morning rituals, the small details are never overlooked.
  • Support That Scales:
As health needs evolve, our care adjusts naturally, providing stability through every stage.

Our goal has always been simple: to create a home where residents feel safe and families finally feel at peace.

Led by Experience, Rooted in Love

Hearts of Paradise Home is directed by Bessie Coello, who brings over 25 years of hands-on experience in residential senior care.

Having seen the limitations of larger facilities, Bessie created this home to offer a better way – one where care is personal, never rushed, and always rooted in deep expertise.

Today, she remains actively involved in daily operations, ensuring each resident receives consistent attention, dignity, and support.

Families appreciate having direct access to leadership, someone who knows their loved one personally and is present in the care, not removed from it.

“We believe care should always feel personal, never rushed or routine.”
